Principal Warfare Officers are specialist warfare officers responsible for coordinating and directing elements of a warship’s combat capability. Working within the ship’s operations room, they interpret tactical information, assess developing situations and help coordinate sensors, weapons and other combat systems. The role requires advanced warfare training, leadership and decision-making skills and plays an important part in helping command teams safely and effectively conduct maritime operations.
