Navy Medical personnel provide health care and medical support to Australian Defence Force personnel both ashore and at sea. They may assist with emergency care, routine health services, first aid, casualty treatment, preventative health and the operation of medical facilities aboard ships and at Defence establishments. Their training allows them to provide essential medical support in environments ranging from normal peacetime operations to exercises, deployments and emergencies.
