The AH-64E Apache Guardian is a modern attack helicopter developed from the AH-64 Apache family. The AH-64E features upgraded sensors, avionics, communications and improved systems designed for modern battlefield operations. It is equipped for roles including reconnaissance, close air support and anti-armour operations.

Australia selected the AH-64E Apache Guardian to replace its retired Tiger ARH fleet. The first two Australian Apaches arrived at RAAF Base Townsville in October 2025 and were assigned to the Australian Army's 1st Aviation Regiment. A64-601 was among the first Australian aircraft delivered, making this 1:72 Hobby Master model a fitting addition to collections focused on modern Australian military aviation.
