Between 2001 and 2014 more than 26000 soldiers deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Slipper - Australia's contribution to the US-led coalition against international terrorism. The Australian Defence Force was also involved in the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the subsequent military intervention against the Islamic State. This figurine depicts an Australian soldier in the Middle East, circa 2013. He is armed with the F 88 Austeyr rifle. His Load Carrying Equipment accommodates extra ammunition, communications gear, body armour and a hydration system.

Figurine is approximately 30cm tall, including its base.
